HAU has launched a Healthcare Services Navigation Program to help low-income, uninsured, and underinsured clients navigate central Oklahoma’s complex healthcare referral network. Navigators will expedite service delivery for Oklahomans seeking basic health, mental health, vision, dental, and women’s health care, and Medicaid enrollment to improve individual and community health outcomes. HAU will act as the central hub of the referral network, which includes OKC Heartline 211, local hospital systems, and our clinic network. This program model is the result of a planning process initiated in 2011 by the Oklahoma Community Health Task Force, a collaborative working group of community stakeholders deeply committed to identifying service gaps and finding solutions to give every Oklahoman access to healthcare. Please help me welcome, Martha Wight, who is leading this effort initially updating our directory and preparing information to set up our Unite Us database.
