HAU partners with Oklahoma County Government Social Services and the Homeless Alliance on a walk-in pharmacy for eligible Oklahoma County residents not above 150% of the federal poverty level and without private Insurance, Medicare or Medicaid. Monday – Thursday walk-in prescriptions are filled at 7401 Northeast 23rd Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73141. Mondays and Wednesdays a walk-in pharmacy is provided at the Homeless Alliance, 1724 NW 4th, Oklahoma City, OK 73106. Hours are 9am-12pm and 1-4pm, with final sign-in at 3:30pm.
Prescriptions are provided at no cost. Please call 405-713-1893 to find out if you may be eligible, and to find out what documentation you need to bring. You will need a new written prescription from the doctor; we cannot accept call-in prescriptions or refill bottles from other pharmacies. Applicants will complete an application form and be interviewed by an eligibility analyst to determine eligibility for services.
We also recommend that you call to make sure we carry the medication you need. We are not a full-service pharmacy, and do not carry all medications, nor do we carry narcotics.
HAU Medication Access staff go onsite to several HAU partner clinics and assist patients in enrolling with pharmaceutical company prescription assistance programs that provide medications at no cost for long-term health conditions. Most commonly accessed medications are insulin, inhalers, cardiovascular medications, and Hepatitis C treatments. HAU’s one full-time and two part-time staff for this program secured over $3million in free medications during 2018.
